The "Integrated Strategic Design Plan for the Coastal Ocean Observations Module of the Global Ocean Observing System", GOOS Report No 125, is now available on the GOOS web site and can be accessed at the following URL:

. This report is now being printed, and in due course hard copies will become available.
The next step is to prepare advice on implementation, which we hope to have ready in 2004. In the meantime the design plan is our best advice on how to start implementing GOOS in coastal seas and Exclusive Economic Zones.
