摘 要(英文)：Thirty-five percent of chl A remains after passage through a silver carp
intestine, and in case of bighead it was determined as 51%. The rate of
gross production per unit of chl a amount of the silver carp feces was
lowered to 62%, while of the bighead feces it was doubled. Consequently,
the algae after intestine passage showed 22% of gross production of those
before passage in silver carps and 103% in bigheads. On the assumption that
the fishes consume algae in the maximum sustained rate, approximately 1/3
of the daily rate of net production in the lake is to be covered by algae
passed through fish intestines.
