摘  要(英文):The participation of mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) as possible mediators of abiotic stresses in R. soongorica was investigated. From R. soongorica a new 550 bp MAPK cDNA fragment was isolated, which had high nucleotide sequence similar to previously reported plant MAPK genes (the highest was 80.5%). The transcripts of MAPK were detected and no tissue-speci¯c expression was observed in both leaves and stems, but the transcripts accumulated highly when drought stress increased. These results indicate that MAPK may play an important role in the response to drought stress of R. soongorica.
